A private island for sale in Scotland
Scotland's uninhabited island, Pladda, was sold for more than 420 thousand dollars. Purchasing this price includes acquiring 11 hectares of land, a house with five bedrooms, several outbuildings, a helicopter pad, and a lighthouse. The island is 50 kilometers from Glasgow, and its closest village is Arran, a popular tourist destination with a hotel, store, and post office. Only boats and helicopters can access the island, but you will only have to deal with seagulls as neighbors.
The new owner, however, must do some work on the island before moving in. The house where the lighthouse keeper used to live fell into disrepair, and it must be repaired. All other structures need repairing, but it offers a stunning view of the neighboring island of Ailsa Craig, so any worries are made up for. This place will be a real paradise for bird lovers, especially if you are lucky enough to see Northern Ireland in clear weather.
