It is located in an abandoned quarry in Songjiang, China, about 50 kilometers from Shanghai. The hotel has a large number of dining options, 336 in total, as well as 336 rooms and suites. At the end of the descent, guests can go to the clam-inspired bar or lounge in the curving sea anemone chairs that bear subtle shades of pearls and bits of blue against their striking velvet undercarriages.



8) MANTA RESORT ZANZIBAR, TANZANIA

Located on the most beautiful island in East Africa, Zanzibar's Manta Resort is elevated and crafted along an idyllic beach. Jules' Undersea Lodge was once a research institute named after Jules Verne, author of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. The only underwater accommodation on this list, it's located 6 meters (21 feet) under water and guests need to scuba dive to reach it. Even if you're not a certified diver, you can expect to spend a couple of hours in a diving course before heading below to your night's destination.. There are views of the ocean as well as various fish and marine life to see, including tropical angelfish and barracuda as well as parrotfish and snappers.
